How to Decide on Your Mentor Coach Specialization Pathway
Use the flowchart below to identify the pathway that best aligns with your education, mentor coaching experience, and professional background. It will help you determine whether the Standard, Prior Learning, or Accredited pathway is the best fit for your journey toward earning your Mentor Coach Specialization (MCS).
Once you've identified your pathway, you can select the MentorPath program that best meets your learning needs: MentorPath Core, MentorPath Essential, or MentorPath Immersive.
MentorPath Essential
A structured pathway for credentialed coaches pursuing the Standard Pathway. MentorPath Essential provides focused training, live mentoring, and practical experience to help you develop the skills and confidence needed to earn your ICF Mentor Coach Specialization (MCS).
MentorPath Core
Focused development for experienced coaches pursuing the Prior Learning Pathway. MentorPath Core provides the essential training, practice, and documentation needed to align your mentor coaching practice with the ICF Mentor Coach Specialization (MCS) standard.
MentorPath Immersive
The advanced pathway for coaches pursuing deeper mastery. MentorPath Immersive is the most comprehensive Mentor Coach Specialization (MCS) experience for credentialed coaches who want to move beyond meeting standards and develop the depth, precision, and presence of an exceptional mentor coach.

42+ total hours of mentor coaching education
21+ live hours including 9 group sessions
Personalized async path including your level-appropriate BARS or Markers training
Fully qualifies you to apply for your ICF Mentor Coach Specialization (MCS)
