MCS Live Q&A Sessions

What is the MCS?

The ICF Mentor Coach Specialization

The Mentor Coach Specialization (MCS) represents a significant shift in how mentor coaching is defined, delivered, and recognized by the ICF. If you’re unsure what it is, why it was created, or how it impacts you, you’re not alone.

In this live Q&A, I’ll walk you through what the MCS really means in practice

I am hosting several Q&A sessions around the new Mentor Coach Specialization

This is important information for you if:

You are a Current Mentor Coach
or Coach Educator

The NEW MCS impacts you directly

You’ve been mentor coaching and teaching with experience and intention and now, with the introduction of the new MCS, you’re required to formally qualify to continue doing this work.

This shift can feel unclear or even disruptive, especially if you’ve already been operating at a high level.

Bring your questions, your concerns, and your current situation, and we’ll work through it together so you can identify the clearest, most aligned path forward with confidence.

You are applying or renewing
any level credential.

If you are renewing your ACC or Applying for any level credential after January of 2027

The requirements remain the same but WHO you can hire to deliver your mentor coaching is the same.

If you are renewing your ACC or applying for any level credential after January 2027, the core requirements themselves aren’t changing, but who is qualified to provide your mentor coaching is.

This distinction matters. You’ll need to ensure that the mentor coach you work with meets the new MCS standard, or your hours may not count toward your application or renewal. Understanding this now allows you to make informed decisions, avoid delays, and move forward with confidence in choosing the right support for your credentialing path.

In the Live Sessions, We'll Cover:

  • What the MCS is and why the ICF created it
  • Who is affected and when the new requirements take effect
  • What it means for your ACC renewal
  • What changes if you're pursuing PCC or MCC after January 1, 2027
  • What you need to do if you currently provide mentor coaching to other coaches
  • How to find and hire a qualified MCS
  • What the path to becoming an MCS looks like
  • Your questions answered LIVE
